Annotation:Drawing on surveys and focus groups with Boston Public School (BPS) graduates, conversations with guidance counselors, and first-year college transcripts from BPS graduates, this preliminary study examines how well-prepared BPS graduates are for the first year of college. Among the findings: one-third of BPS graduates in the study were enrolled in at least one developmental English course; one-half in at least one developmental math course.
