Title:Improving student success by strengthening developmental education in community colleges: The role of state policy
Organization:The Working Poor Families Project
Short Description:This policy brief provides recommendations for improving developmental education practices and policies to meet future workforce needs.
Annotation:Estimates suggest that 60 percent of first-time community college students who enroll directly from high school do not have the basic academic skills needed to successfully complete college-level courses.
